Jets Hangar

The Jets Hangar is a student recreation and resource area located near our residence halls and disc golf course. Formerly the Michigan Space and Science Center, the Jets Hangar retains distinct architectural design and boasts a completely renovated interior. This vibrant space includes a reception desk, multi-purpose room, Subway restaurant, as well as offices for the Director of Student Life and security personnel. There is a stage area, 13-by-20-foot projection screen for movie nights, multiple televisions with gaming systems, billiards, ping pong, a fireplace area, two exterior patio areas, a full basketball court, and an outdoor volleyball court.

The Jets Hangar’s centerpiece is a Hispano HA-200 Saeta (Spanish for “Arrow”) aircraft, raised and mounted on a pedestal. A private donation, the attack jet was built by Hispano Aviación and was the first Spanish turbojet aircraft.
